More details
I'm fluent in both English and Russian, which have been useful in connecting with diverse people and cultures along the way.
International living experiences, particularly in Kazakhstan, the UAE, Turkey, and Canada, have shaped my broader perspective and adaptability to new environments, which I value greatly.
Outside of academics, sports have played a significant role in my life. I have 2 years of both: soccer and boxing; together with 4 years total of gym and/or calisthenics. I’ve also played the flute and the alto saxophone.
I truly value building meaningful connections, as friendships have been an important part of my life, especially throughout my time in different countries.
As a teaching assistant for the CPSC 330: Applied Machine Learning course at UBC, I helped students understand machine learning concepts, provided guidance on projects and technical issues, and assisted in grading assignments and leading student discussion on Piazza. This role enhanced my communication skills and deepened my understanding of machine learning applications.
